On the coastal road fifteen minutes south of downtown Cozumel. The main scuba diving reefs are just offshore, shortening the boat ride for divers.
The hotel’s 224 rooms are clean, casual, and comfortable, featuring TVs, private balconies, Mexican accents, and coffeemakers. Rooms are across the road from the beach.
Dive boats pull up to the on-site boat dock and whisk guests away to nearby dive sites. Others lounge by the two ocean-view pools, play tennis, or enjoy a soothing massage.

What to expect: The hotel features traditional Mexican beach town architecture, with a breezy lobby, bright orange and yellow colors, and Spanish tiled roofs. The Fiesta Americana Cozumel plays host primarily to serious scuba divers, who spend much of their day away from the hotel, returning home in the afternoon to reflect on their experience, nap by the pools, and socialize with other divers. Non-divers that seek refuge from the bustle of town appreciate the hotel’s peaceful isolation, friendly service, and camaraderie with other guests. At night, guests enjoy the hotel’s restaurants then gather at the Dive Bar between the lobby and the pool for live music, dancing, and karaoke.

Amenity highlights: The Fiesta Americana was built to satisfy scuba divers. Guests can sip coffee at the hotel restaurant while waiting for their boat, then walk a few steps to the dock to start their adventures. When they return, divers find wash tanks and lockers for their gear, allowing them to safely clean and store their equipment without having to trudge it to their rooms. The man-made beach is popular for reading and watching the boats go by and the two hotel pools are abuzz with activities and socializing. The Hacienda Miramar restaurant serves international and Mexican cuisine in a romantic atmosphere, meaning guests don’t even need to go to town to get a great meal.
Special Details: The Fiesta Kids Club provides complimentary supervision and activities for children five and up daily from 9am to 5pm. The hotel’s Bubble Maker program, offering introductory scuba lessons by specialized instructors in the hotel pool on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for children ages 8-12. The Reef Restaurant – On the beach side of the street, this restaurant has air-conditioning and an outdoor terrace. It offers buffet breakfasts and a la carte Mexican and American lunches, plus views of the hotel pool, ocean, and boat dock.
Hacienda Miramar – The hotel’s international and Mexican specialty restaurant is open for dinner only. It is located on the third floor of the hotel and has air-conditioning and a romantic yet casual atmosphere. Linen tablecloths, candles, and live ambient music. Reservations requested. Operates seasonally.
Tropical Forest – Serving buffet breakfasts and buffet dinners, this open-air restaurant has a palapa roof and is next to the main swimming pool. The menu varies according to the nightly theme, which ranges from Italian to Caribbean to Mexican. The restaurant also provides poolside service and a swim-up bar. Operates seasonally.
Dive Bar – The hotel’s lobby bar has a thatched roof and is located between the main lobby and the pool deck. There is a pool table, ping-pong table, and foosball table. Occasional live music and karaoke nights.
Coco Loco Beach Bar – This ultra-casual beach bar has a palapa roof and serves tropical drinks and snacks at the hotel beach. Happy hour is 6pm-7pm nightly.

RECREATION
The Fiesta Americana Cozumel is most popular with scuba divers and has an onsite boat dock and diving facilities. There are two pools – one with water basketball, a tennis court, and a workout room with three Cybex machines. Guests can use the hotel’s kayaks, snorkeling gear, and paddleboats free of charge. There is also a sand pit suitable for volleyball or soccer.

A passport is required by many countries upon entry to their country. Also, a document indicating proof of citizenship is always required to re-enter the United States. In some instances (Mexico, Canada, etc.), a valid driver's license and a birth certificate will suffice as the proof of citizenship; however, as indicated many countries require a passport to gain entry to their country and the United States State Department "recommends" a passport as evidence of citizenship in ALL cases.
Many countries require visas (entry permits granted by the government of the country you will be visiting) to be obtained in advance of your trip.
